Its still emerging, slowly slowly (a bit like LOST!)
Thanks for all the lovely comments last week about the decopatch, and about my daughter sending a square to Mrs Twins - my daughter said she felt 'famous' and pleased with the response! Also a warm welcome to the new followers who have joined me over the last week, don't hesitate to leave a comment - nice to hear from you and I will visit your blog if you have one!
Sunday evening was decopatch evening! I found this in a charity shop on Friday for a couple of pounds and thought it was JuSt the thing for a makeover - its an IKEA small mirror.
I can't tell you how theraputic this craft is - Lucy kindly told me that you get a better finish by tearing the paper so that's what I have done this time - tear and stick, tear and stick - soooo soothing. Hooked in Hove
has some lovely pictures on her blog of decopatch projects she has done too - so take a peek. This is the mirror completed.
I emphasised the the flower pattern with patch liner, which you dab on and it dries hard.
Speak soon xx
Lovely. Loved the stuff from last week too. I must search the shops to see if we have it here . I'm sure we will but really haven't heard anyone talk about it but it is very pretty.

Oh Kim, how pretty is this!
ReplyDeleteIts really beautiful. I bet you get up each morning, and think to yourself 'Umm, what shall I do today?'. I know I go to bed thinking about my blankets. Seriously, you have a couple of things on the go, and they are both really, really interesting. The rug is coming along really well. Half way, gosh its grown quickly. Now your little mirror. Yes, you'll have to keep your eye out for things to cover! Bit like me I'm always looking for baskets!!
Mad aren't we?
Thanks for sharing, great fun and you are making a nice job of them.
Hugs and Love Suex
Your mirror turned out so pretty. And your rug is coming along nicely! :)
ReplyDeleteThe mirror looks fab! Great use of the liner too. Addictive isn't it? Thank you for the link :)

Totally transformed the mirror - it looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteAnd the rug is transforming too - before our eyes it is coming more and more too life.
Your daughter is 'famous' - well at least in our little corner of blogging world. It must be nice to have her join you in crafting. Mine have not since they were young :-(
The mirror look very stylish and the rug is certainly coming to life now. I too agree that its good to have several different things on the go at once.
