A Wicked Time!

Yesterday, hubby and I were able to enjoy a Christmas present from our eldest son and his lovely girlfriend.

We wandered down the road to our lovely little station

the very straight line pointing towards London.

the sun was setting behind the downs and was emitting this delicious warm orangy glow.
The surprise was tickets to see a London show.

And a Wicked time we had too!!  The story of the two witches from the Wizard of Oz. The costumes and sets were out of this world and the singing and dancing was amazing.  There was a standing ovation at the end.  See it if you can!

Thank you for your enquiries about my hands.  I have seen a therapist a couple of time and had a grip test, and my right hand is very low - not sure what is going to be done about it, so I now have an attractive glove to wear when I feel I need it

To be honest I am not sure if it is helping or not - but I will give it time.  But as you can see, I WILL not stop doing the things I love, and a pile of plain grannies has started to appear!  I am making a blanket to match the colours of our folding camper - thinking of summer!   Its a little frustrating because I just can't do it as fast as I used to and I am trying to hold the hook in a different way which takes some getting used to - but I will improve I am hopeful.

Speak soon xx

How lovely to be treated to a show!
It's been ages since I went to the theatre.
OOh dear your poor hand, let's hope the glove helps you.

  2. Love your squares.
I'm enjoying reading your blog; I stumbled upon it while spending a day indoors blog-hopping (it was over 40C here yesterday).
Re your support glove - I've been wearing one for about 10 years and it really does help. I opted out of the thumb joint surgery because it was going to be complicated (not able to have thumb joint replacement due to arthritis); the alternative surgery was a bit too scary. I hope you adjust to using the support glove .. I feel naked if I start doing any handcrafts without my glove.
    Best of luck, Kim.

  3. Hubby and I received a Xmas gift to Wicked too, from our 3 daughters and partners - only it was about 3 years ago and we saw it in Melbourne. Elphaba (Wicked Witch) had an absolutely amazing voice.
From time to time I have used a wrist guard, especially when typing a lot ☺ It certainly did help
